Dean of Students and Discipline – Middle and High School Students
“I have always had a passion for education, and the educational industry. For most of my professional career has been in education. I have been the Supervisor of Campus Security and went into teaching for the Tolleson Union High School District. After my service at Tolleson Union High School District, I then started a career in Higher Education with Grand Canyon University as an Enrollment Advisor where I obtained my Master in Christian Studies with Emphasis in Pastoral Ministry.
My wife and I have been in ministry for over 20 years and now serve as the founding pastors of Ekklesia Christian Church. We share parenting of seven children. One is our biological child (Kailah), and we have adopted six siblings Kyshia, Kemani, Jalon, Josiah, Jadon and Joseph. My wife is a Math teacher at Trivium Preparatory (Great Hearts) and we are actively involved in the lives of our children.
I believe that all students can learn, given the right environment, support and direction, as well as Proverbs 22:6 (“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”). Therefore, my goal as Dean of Students is to support the administration, faculty, teachers, students and parents in the training process by eliminating the distraction of learning, enhancing the direction for learning and engaging in the decision to learn. This can be done by effective collaboration and communication with the objective and goal to be restoration, reconciliation and reconnection.
I am blessed to be a part of a wonderful family here at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School and I look forward to partnering with the administration, faculty, teachers, students and parents to be a light of Christ shining in the lives of our student community.
