Academic Philosophy
Educating the Whole Student
At Phoenix Christian, learning is a journey that grows with each student—from their first days in preschool to their final steps at graduation. Each stage builds intentionally upon the last, cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and character that reflect the heart of Christ. Our teachers live out a “Living Curriculum,” weaving biblical truth into every subject while maintaining high academic standards, differentiating instruction, and providing purposeful opportunities for both intervention and enrichment. In every classroom, we pursue our mission of educating minds, forming hearts, and equipping hands—preparing students to grow in wisdom, faith, and readiness to serve others for God’s glory.
So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be…

Academic Excellence
Measuring Growth, Guiding Excellence
At Phoenix Christian, assessment is an important part of how we ensure excellence at every level. As a standards-based school, we use a variety of measures, such as MAP Growth assessments (K–12), DIBELS literacy benchmarks (K–5), standardized progress monitoring, and readiness or college-prep tests, to track growth and guide instruction. These tools help us see where each student is thriving and where additional support or challenge is needed, allowing teachers to tailor learning that reflects both high academic standards and Christ-centered care for every child.
