Chapel Speaker: Jonathan Wilfong, 01
Jonathan was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Phoenix Christian High School in 2001. After high school, he headed to Texas for college and then moved to Oklahoma, where he began his career in the oil and gas industry as a landman. He eventually made his way back to Texas and settled in Houston, where he met his wife and later attended law school.
After spending about 15 years in the oil and gas industry, Jonathan transitioned into an in-house legal career, serving as General Counsel for an international hospitality company. Today, he serves as General Counsel for a national transportation and logistics company.
Jonathan and his wife have three children, ages 22, 10, and 8, who keep them plenty busy. When he’s not working, there’s a good chance you’ll find him on a basketball court, soccer field, or baseball diamond coaching one of his kids’ teams. He also leads a small group at his church for young adults ages 18–29, something he particularly enjoys.
Although his journey has taken him from Arizona to Texas to Oklahoma and back to Texas, Houston is now home. Between family, work, coaching, and church, life stays busy—and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Join us as we cheer our Cougars on to victory against Scottsdale Christian Academy!
