Choir Teacher, Dance

Year Started: 2025

Degree: Bachelor’s in Worship Arts with an emphasis in Worship Ministry

Relevant Work Experience: I have over four years of experience teaching and coaching dance, including serving as a dance coach at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. I recently taught elementary special education at Faith Christian School and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Worship Arts emphasizing Worship Ministry, where I also studied dance. In addition to teaching choir, I write original songs for GCU, choreograph for Phoenix Christian theater productions, and have been leading worship for the past seven years.

Why PC? Growing up in Christian education, I have always seen the value of students being discipled both academically and spiritually. That is one of the reasons I am so passionate about Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. I have absolutely loved coaching there and building relationships with students, and I am excited for the opportunity to teach older students through music and the arts in a Christ-centered environment. My number one priority is helping students grow in their relationship with Christ while also encouraging their creativity and confidence. I also truly love the culture at PC! It feels like family, and coaching there has been one of my all-time favorite experiences!

Favorite Verse and Why: My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 100. When I was in second grade, my great-grandpa, who I was close with growing up, paid me to memorize it. At the time, thought it was so exciting to earn money, but over the years that chapter has become infinitely more valuable to me. I often repeat it in my mind as a reminder of God’s faithfulness, goodness, and promises. I especially love how it centers around worshipping the Lord with joy and singing, which connects so closely to both my personal life and my passion for music ministry. It has become a constant encouragement for me to approach God with gratitude, joy, and trust.
