Previous Next Student Article by Deklan Johnston, 6th Grade On November 2, 2022, Phoenix Christian Preparatory School went to Feed My Starving Children for Serve Day. From 8:00 am to 10:00 am, we helped the community and prepared meals for the kids that can give them nourishment to be successful in school and change their lives. When we got to Feed My Starving Children, the first thing we did was watch some videos on how to pack, weigh, and seal the bags. After the video, we washed our hands and started to pack the bags. The meals we packed consisted of vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice. After that, we had to weigh the bags, seal them and pack them in boxes. During the whole process, we had a competition to see who could get the most boxes packed. In the end, the worker told us how much we helped the community. We packed 77 boxes with 16,632 bags of food – meaning 45 kids will be fed for an entire year. This was definitely a fun way to serve God by serving others.
