rich history, bright future

Founded in 1949 as the first Christian high school in Arizona, Phoenix Christian Preparatory School now serves Infant (8 weeks) through 12th grade in the heart of the city, boasting an alumni base nearly 6,000 strong. And we’re just getting started.

Our Dedicated Staff

Some of our staff and leaders have been part of Phoenix Christian for many decades and some for just a few years, however each bring unique stories and a deep-rooted passion for our mission and its students. Here’s a glimpse into a few of our standout, highly qualified team members who exemplify that enduring commitment.

Jeff Blake

Superintendent

Mr. Blake began his teaching career at PC in 1997 and dove in wholeheartedly, serving as teacher, coach, StuCo advisor, and Department Head. He then transitioned into full-time Student Ministry at a local church from 2005 to 2008, until God reminded him of the significance of reaching students in the daily school environment. Since returning to PC, he has never looked back. He's served as teacher, department head, school chaplain, our middle school and high school principal, and now superintendent. His love for the school, staff, and students is evident in every decision.

Jay Hendricks

High School English Teacher

Mr. Hendricks has over three decades of experience as a teacher and has dedicated over 20 years of his life to teaching students at PC. He continues to teach because he knows this is where God wants him to be. His wife teaches at PC Elementary, and his three sons graduated from PC as well.

Tara Draper

Lower Elementary Department Lead and Kindergarten Teacher

I graduated in 2007 from Arizona State University and all through college planned on being an elementary teacher. However, God had different plans for me at the time. After graduation, I went on to teach adults in a retail environment, first as a manager and then as a merchandiser. After eighteen years in this field, God led me back on the path of my first passion. From the moment I stepped onto the campus at Phoenix Christian, I felt this is where God wanted me to be. Phoenix Christian has teachers who care, love the Lord, and want only the best—both academically and spiritually—for their students. Tara has taught at Phoenix Christian since 2017.

Joe Wiltz

Director of Spiritual Life

I love teaching at Phoenix Christian because it is a school that God has used throughout the years to expand His kingdom in Phoenix. The conversations and spiritual growth that happen here are a blessing in my life every day! Joe has taught at Phoenix Christian since 2018.

Kali Lynch

Middle School Department Lead and ELA Teacher

What sets Phoenix Christian School apart is its unwavering commitment to integrating faith and learning, creating a nurturing environment where students not only excel academically but also grow spiritually. We have been so very thankful that our two daughters have experienced this first hand at PC. This holistic approach resonates deeply with my own values and beliefs as an educator.

Christine Fox

Lead Instructional English Coach and Senior High ELA Teacher

What drives Christine's passion for Phoenix Christian is its unique missional approach. "I love that PC is a missional school because there is no 'forcing' on the students' side. We get to see them exactly where they are and love them the way Christ loves them," she explains. "A bonus—we get to see them question, struggle, learn and grow, in academics and faith."
Christine's favorite Bible verse reflects her teaching philosophy: "Always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies" (II Corinthians 4:10). This verse guides her daily work with students.
"I truly believe in doing what God has called me to do, and He has called me to be here," Christine shares. "I see it in a million ways."

Cemioan Woodley

R.I.S.E.N. Director

Phoenix Christian Preparatory School is a family oriented environment and upholds faith base values. I believe it is a blessing to be able to share my love for supporting children and families in a warm and supporting environment that is built upon a Christian foundation.
