Why Phoenix Christian?
I was introduced to PC shortly after moving to AZ by an amazing family who has now become family to my boys and me. This opportunity has become an answer to prayer. My boys and I have been blessed to become part of the PC family. We have met some great teachers, friends and now family. We feel at peace here.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is a favorite/what does it mean to you.
Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your path straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

Throughout my life I have been able to lean on these scriptures to help keep me focused. I have been on my own most of my life but knowing I have My God by my side I am able to keep pushing and stay strong for my children. I know that when I go through a trial that it is only for a season and a chance for me to grow not only as a mother but as a child of God.

What is something you do for fun when you’re not teaching?
I enjoy watching sports, camping, hiking, exploring new places spending time with friends and family. I love watching my children compete!

Who was your favorite teacher and why?
My Language Arts teacher in Jr. High helped build my confidence and grow my love for writing. In H.S. my history teacher helped guide me through a very difficult time in my life. My history professor in college gave me a love for history and encouraged me to continue my education.

Favorite quote?
Be the change you want to see in the world. Mahatma Gandhi
