The test is also qualifies students for the scholarship competition sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Program. Students are encouraged to prepare for the PSAT by enrolling in the Petersons Online Test Preparation course offered through Phoenix Christian or utilizing resources on www.collegeboard.com.

The ASVAB is designed to encourage students to increase their level of self-knowledge and understanding of how information can be linked to civilian and military occupational careers. It is a multi-aptitude test battery that helps students identify different skills and competencies. Additional information can be found on www.asvabprogram.com.

The Stanford 10 measures students’ progress toward high academic standards. It provides valid and reliable measurement of achievement. Teachers use the data to identify and help students at risk and parents will understand what their student knows and how to help them with deficiencies.

The Advanced Placement Exams represent the culmination of AP courses and are thus an integral part of the Program. As a result, many schools foster the expectation that students who enroll in an AP course will go on to take the corresponding AP Exam. Because the College Board is committed to providing access to AP Exams to all students—including home schooled students and students whose schools do not offer AP—it does not require students to take an AP course prior to taking an AP Exam.
