I am an Arizona native and a Phoenix Christian alumna. After high school, I moved to the Boston area to attend Gordon College where I double majored in Elementary Education and Spanish, along with a concentration in ESL (English as a Second Language). In 2016, I received my Masters of Education with a concentration in Reading from NAU and became an endorsed Reading Specialist.

I taught an ESL third grade class in the Isaac School District before coming to Phoenix Christian. At PC, I was a third grade teacher, a Reading Specialist, and then an Academic Coach before becoming the Elementary Principal.

Personal Information:

Most of my family lives in Phoenix or Rhode Island. I met my husband, Travis, at church and we were married on New Year's Eve in 2012. We love spending time with our four children: Serenity, Magdalena, Tonka, and Victor. We also enjoy spending time with our two nieces and five nephews. I love traveling, reading, and hiking.

Travis and I live downtown in a community that is part of our church's outreach. Our goal is to be a light in this neighborhood and allow God to use us to meet the physical and spiritual needs in the community. Our home is often full of neighborhood kids and this ministry is extremely rewarding.

I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and attend Phoenix Christian (4th - 12th grade). Even though I had a solid biblical foundation, I did not take my faith very seriously until my senior year of high school. In college, I became involved in a great Christian community through my school and began to really grow in my understanding of the Lord. I am so thankful that I now have a vocation where I can continue to grow in my faith. I love praying for my students and sharing God's truth with them every day.
